The Gordon Edge Scholarship supports UK students to study a science or technology degree at Cambridge.
The scholarship is open to underrepresented undergraduate students from the following counties:
- Lancashire
- Manchester
- Liverpool
- Anglesey
- Gwynedd
- Conwy
- Denbighshire
- Flintshire
- Wrexham
Number of scholarships available
The scholarship is available to one new undergraduate student every 3 to 4 years.
What the scholarship offers
The Scholarship offers around £10,000 per year for the full duration of the course (3 or 4 years). The scholarship can be used to cover maintenance costs.
If you are awarded the Scholarship, you can still access a Cambridge Bursary (if you are eligible). The value of the Scholarship will be reviewed and may be reduced if you are awarded funding other than Student Finance or the Cambridge Bursary.
How to apply
To apply for the Gordon Edge Scholarship, you need to complete the online application by 30 August 2026 (11.59pm).
