Undergraduate Study

Got a smartphone? contains all the information from the Cambridge Open Days programme, plus you can build an itinerary for your visit in advance, and access interactive maps to help you find your way around on the day.

The University of Cambridge and its Colleges will be opening their doors for the Cambridge Open Days on Thursday 6 July and Friday 7 July 2017.

These large-scale events are for Year 12 students (or equivalent) and mature students (aged 21 or over) who are considering making an application in October 2017 for entry in October 2018 (or deferred entry in October 2019).

Attendees will be able to find out what the University and Colleges have to offer through presentations on courses, the application process, student life, and finance. They’ll also have the opportunity to talk to undergraduate students and staff from the Colleges and academic departments.

All undergraduate Colleges and courses will be represented as part of the Cambridge Open Days. All undergraduate Colleges and many departments will be open to drop-in visitors at certain times on these days. However, some may also be running their own events, for which you will need to book separately. Please see the College open days and Department open days for further information.

Booking options

University and Colleges ticket

A University and Colleges ticket allows you to access:

  • all general presentations, such as Applying to Cambridge and Student Life
  • all course sessions
  • all the undergraduate Colleges

Please note that for the majority of general presentations and course sessions, priority will be given to prospective students – unfortunately, parents and supporters aren’t guaranteed access.

Some Colleges and departments will also be running their own events on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 July, for which a separate booking will be required. A University and Colleges ticket will not grant you entry to these events.

Colleges Only ticket

A Colleges Only ticket allows you to access the undergraduate Colleges, but not the general presentations and course sessions.

Some Colleges will also be running their own events on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 July, for which a separate booking will be required. A Colleges Only ticket will not grant you entry to these events.

If you’d like to attend both Cambridge Open Days, please book a University and Colleges ticket for one day and a Colleges Only ticket for the other day. You will need to make two separate bookings on Eventbrite to do this.

The Cambridge Open Days are for Year 12 students (or the equivalent) and mature students. We’re unable to accommodate younger students or additional guests that exceed the two parent/supporter tickets that are available to each prospective student.
