 Update on coronavirus (COVID-19)

In light of the latest advice about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all outreach activities and events organised by Cambridge Admissions Office have been cancelled until the end of August 2020.

We are committed to providing prospective applicants with information about the collegiate University, its courses, and the admissions process. We are looking at opportunities we can offer virtually, as well as the possibility of running some events later in the year. We will update the website with further information once this is available and, for specific widening participation programmes, make direct contact with schools and students affected.

For information about particular events, please check the relevant webpage or contact the event organiser for the most up-to-date information.

We apologise for the inconvenience and any disappointment that this may have caused and we hope to be able to welcome you to an event in Cambridge in the future.

Cambridge Open Days

Every July, we welcome prospective applicants in Year 12 (or equivalent) and prospective mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with up to two parents or supporters, to experience what the University and Colleges have to offer at the Cambridge Open Days.

In order to attend our Open Days you will need to register in advance. To keep up-to-date, subscribe to our Cambridge Open Days mailing list.

What to expect

On the day you will be able to find out about the University and Colleges through presentations about our courses, the application process, student life, and finance. You’ll also have the opportunity to talk to current undergraduates and staff from the Colleges and academic departments.

All undergraduate Colleges and courses will be represented as part of the Cambridge Open Days. All undergraduate Colleges and many departments will be open to drop-in visitors at certain times during these days. However, some may also be running their own events, for which you’ll need to book separately. Please see College open days and Department open days for further information.

Please note that whilst we endeavour to accommodate all visitors, for the majority of general and course presentations priority will be given to prospective students. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee access for parents and supporters.

Please also be aware that due to the popularity of these events we’re unable to accommodate younger students or additional parents or supporters who exceed the two guest tickets that are available to each prospective applicant. However, you can find information about events and resources for younger students on our events page.
