Cambridge Hybrid Open Days 2022

Our Hybrid Open Days will be taking place from 5 September to 18 September 2022. Virtual content and sessions will be available during this time and you'll have the opportunity to visit the University in person on 15 or 16 September.

The Open Days will have a focus on Colleges with the return of the popular ‘Choosing a College’ webinar and many Colleges open for tours.

The Open Days are aimed at prospective applicants from Year 13 (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with their parents or supporters, to help them learn more about the University.

Booking information

To attend the Cambridge Open Days, whether in-person or virtually, you must register in advance. Bookings will open at 11:00 (UK time) on August 15.

What to expect

Our full programme will be released on August 15 once bookings open. In the meantime, we’ve compiled some tips and advice to help you get the most from our Open Days.

We are planning a hybrid approach to our September Open Days, offering prospective applicants and their supporters the chance to visit the University of Cambridge in person if they wish to, alongside offering virtual content, such as webinars and pre-recorded videos for students to learn more about studying here too. The September Hybrid Open Days are focusing on Colleges to help you finalise your College choice ahead of the October deadline.

  • Warm-up Webinars (5 September – 8 September)
We will be hosting a series of Warm-up Webinars, which will cover key topics, such as Applying to Cambridge and Choosing a College. Most of these webinars will consist of a presentation followed by time for questions at the end. All sessions will be recorded and made available to view on our website until Sunday 18 September.
  • Virtual (5 September – 18 September)
Virtual Open Day content will go live on our Virtual Tour from Monday 5 September. Here, you will be able to find out more about the University by viewing presentations about our courses, watching sample lectures, and you can virtually visit our Colleges and University facilities using our 360 platform. This content will remain live until Sunday 18 September.
  • ‘In-person’ days (15 September – 16 September)
We will be welcoming students and their supporters to explore Cambridge in person on either Thursday 15 or Friday 16 September. These days will be focusing on Cambridge Colleges, with many Colleges open for you to look around, meet current students and staff and find out more about what studying at Cambridge would be like. Please note that most subject departments won’t be open as part of the in-person days, but all our undergraduate courses will have virtual content available, primarily through on demand course presentations and/or sample lectures. Full details will be listed in the programme, which will be available from Monday August 15.
  • Virtual Q&As (12 September – 13 September)
In the week leading up to our in-person days, we will be offering a range of virtual events in the evenings for you to interact virtually with our Colleges, course representatives and students. These events are an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about studying at Cambridge.
