As well as open days and events for prospective students, we also organise events specifically for teachers and student advisers. These provide up-to-date information and guidance on the University, our admissions process and outreach opportunities.

Our Teachers and Advisers' Webinar Series offers advice and guidance on a variety of admissions topics at key points throughout the cycle. 

Teachers and Advisers' Conference

Our Teachers and Advisers' Conference brings together teachers and advisers from across the UK. The next conference has not been scheduled yet, but we will share more details when the date is confirmed. Sign up to our newsletter for updates.

International Guidance Counsellor Conference

Our online and in-person events for international guidance counsellors offer the opportunity to find out more about the University and UK admissions.

School visits 

The Area Links Scheme provides schools and colleges in each area of the UK with a direct contact at the University. For tailored outreach activities and school visits, please liaise with the dedicated contact for your school/college area.

College and department events

Most Colleges and departments welcome visits from teachers during open days or by appointment at other times. Some also organise events specifically for teachers.

Continuing your professional development

The University offers a range of CPD and PPD opportunities for teachers and advisers:

• The Faculty of Education runs a number of short courses throughout the year, as well as a part-time Master of Education course that may be of interest to teachers and education professionals.
• The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) also offers a number of short courses, residential courses and summer schools, providing an in-depth exploration of specialised subjects.
• Isaac Physics offers free online CPD events for teachers of Physics, Chemistry, Combined Science or Maths at secondary school level, and also organises a free annual in-person Teacher Symposium.
