Students hoping to study Mathematics at certain top universities must undertake an additional entrance examination known as the Sixth Term Examination Paper or STEP. This exam requires special preparation as the question style and answer format are very different to A Level exams.
Murray Edwards College offers a 4-day residential summer camp specifically aimed at preparing young women and non-binary people to sit the STEP exam, whilst also providing admissions advice and an insight into university life.
Our next STEP summer school will take place from Monday 4 August until Thursday 7 August 2025 and 50 places are available.
The summer school is completely free: meals and accommodation are provided by the College.
