Undergraduate Study

The University and Colleges are committed to admitting students of the highest academic ability and potential. On average across all subjects, we receive about six applications per place.

Find out more about Cambridge's undergraduate admissions statistics and acceptance rates by exploring the application and admissions statistics dashboard.

You can view and filter admission statistics relating to:

  • where applicants live
  • age, ethnicity, and other characteristics of applicants
  • free school meals
  • schools and school types
  • the Cambridge pools, including the August reconsideration pool
  • applicant qualifications
  • admissions tests scores

For most statistics in the dashboard, data is given for multiple admissions cycles (shown by apply year). Apply year refers to the UCAS cycle in which applications were considered. For example, the '2025 apply year' refers to applications made from September 2024 onwards, for courses starting in October 2025 or deferred entry in 2026.
