Jesus is a diverse and inclusive College 5 minutes from the city centre, set in beautiful grounds and green spaces, with amazing accommodation, modern facilities, and a great sense of community.
Accommodation
All our undergraduates are offered accommodation either in the main College buildings or in College-owned houses just across the road, so all Jesus students live close to the friendly Porters’ Lodge.
The mix of accommodation enables individual needs and preferences to be catered for. Most of the rooms have been recently refurbished, with en suite bathrooms, good kitchen facilities, and access to free laundry.
Facilities
Jesus has a strong track record of academic success, but our students are encouraged to realise their potential in all walks of life, with a huge range of student societies supporting music, film, sports, and the arts.
We’re proud of our award-winning library with its superb working environment, our support for the creative arts, including a new art room and annual student-run arts festival, and our commitment to music of all sorts (ranging from chapel choirs to dedicated spaces for practice and performance).
There are plenty of places to relax and have fun, with popular facilities including our attractive café and bar and our recently refurbished gym, fitness rooms and common room. Unusually for a Cambridge College, our playing fields are all on the main site.
Location and student life
We admit undergraduates across all subjects studied at the University, with roughly equal numbers in arts and sciences. We welcome applicants from all types of school and background – everyone is considered for admission as an individual on their own academic merit.
We have a comprehensive welfare and health system including a nurse and a mental health nurse, and are committed to supporting all of our students’ accessibility needs. Those of all faiths and none are welcomed to our chapel and our new multi-faith space.
