Entry requirements

Typical offers for applicants taking the Højere Forberedelseseksamen (HF) / Højere Handelseksamen (HHX) / Studentereksamen (STX) / Højere Teknisk Eksamen (HTX) would be based on an average overall score of 11 and applicants may be expected to achieve grade 12 in relevant subjects at level A. Please note that HTX Biotechnology is accepted as a suitable science subject in lieu of Biology.

Applicants taking the Højere Forberedelseseksamen / Højere Handelseksamen / Højere Teknisk Eksamen should take particular care to ensure that they meet any specific subject requirements for their chosen course, and may wish to consult a College Admissions Office for advice. Applicants for Sciences courses with either the HTX or STX should be aware that significant additional independent study will be required for both the pre-interview assessment and the commencement of the course. Please see the individual course pages for details on pre-interview assessment specifications.

English language requirements

If English is not your first language then any offer made is likely to include English language requirements. See which English language qualifications we accept on our English language requirements page.

Fees and finance

Details of tuition fees, living costs and financial support available to EU students are available on our finance pages.

If you're unsure as to whether your fee status would be Home or international, please see our fee status page.

If you think you may meet the entry requirements that we require from your country, we would suggest that you familiarise yourself with how to apply to Cambridge. There is also specific information for international applicants and an application timetable with dates and deadlines relevant for international students.

Admissions Assessments

Please also refer to the information about admission assessments. If the course you’re applying for requires you to take a pre-interview written assessment, you must be registered in advance for the assessment. The assessment centre where you’ll take the assessment must register you (you can’t register yourself) by the relevant assessment registration deadline.
