Undergraduate Study

Cambridge Open Days - 4 & 5 July 2019

We welcome prospective applicants in Year 12 (or equivalent) and prospective mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with up to two parents or supporters, to experience what the University and Colleges have to offer at the Cambridge Open Days.

In order to attend our Open Days you will need to register in advance. Please refer to our booking section below for details.

What to expect

Our Open Day programme will be available from late June.

On the day you will be able to find out about the University and Colleges through presentations about our courses, the application process, student life, and finance. You’ll also have the opportunity to talk to current undergraduates and staff from the Colleges and academic departments.

All undergraduate Colleges and courses will be represented as part of the Cambridge Open Days. All undergraduate Colleges and many departments will be open to drop-in visitors at certain times during these days. However, some may also be running their own events, for which you’ll need to book separately. Please see College open days and Department open days for further information.

Please note that whilst we endeavour to accommodate all visitors, for the majority of general and course presentations priority will be given to prospective students. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee access for parents and supporters.

Please also be aware that due to the popularity of these events we’re unable to accommodate younger students or additional parents or supporters who exceed the two guest tickets that are available to each prospective applicant. However, you can find information about events and resources for younger students here.

Booking information

Booking is essential for the Cambridge Open Days. If you wish to attend on both days, please book a Full Access (University and Colleges + Presentations) ticket for one day and a Partial Access (University and Colleges Only) ticket for the other day. You’ll need to make two separate bookings (one for each ticket type) to do this.

Full Access Ticket (University and Colleges + Presentations)

This ticket gives you access to everything on offer, including:

  • Presentations (such as general and course presentations)
  • University Departments
  • Undergraduate Colleges

To enable as many prospective students as possible to attend, we can only allow you to book a Full Access ticket for one of the Open Days.

Partial Access Ticket (University and Colleges Only)

This ticket allows you to access the University departments and undergraduate Colleges, but doesn’t grant you entry to the general and course presentations.

This ticket type is recommended for those who don't want to attend the presentations, or for those who are attending the full Open Day on one day and would like the opportunity to visit the departments and Colleges on the other day.
