Subject Masterclasses funded place applications
Funded places for our Subject Masterclasses are available for students (including mature students) who meet any of the following criteria:
- In care, or care-experienced
- Eligible for Free School Meals
- Seeking asylum, or with refugee status
- Household(s) in receipt of Universal Credit
If you meet any of the above criteria and would like to apply for a funded place:
- Download a
Funded place application form.
- Check the table of Subject Masterclasses below and make a note of the funded place booking deadline.
- Email the completed form to CAOEvents@admin.cam.ac.uk by the deadline (for hybrid events, please state whether you wish to attend in-person or online).
Students are welcome to apply for funded places on multiple Subject Masterclasses.
Financial hardship applications
If students do not meet any of the eligibility criteria above but are experiencing financial hardship, they are also welcome to apply for a funded place.
Financial hardship may include (but is not limited to), the applicant being a young carer, being estranged from both primary parents/carers, or being a parent themselves.
To apply for a financial hardship funded place:

- Check the table of Subject Masterclasses below and make a note of the funded place booking deadline.
- Email the completed form to CAOEvents@admin.cam.ac.uk by the deadline (for hybrid events, please state whether you wish to attend in-person or online).
The form requests a signature from the applicant’s school/college. If the applicant is not currently enrolled at a school/college, please email CAOEvents@admin.cam.ac.uk for guidance.
Students are welcome to apply for financial hardship funded places on multiple Subject Masterclasses.
