Undergraduate Study

Old books on wooden bookshelves in the Gonville & Caius Library.

Caius Explore is a programme aimed at helping students to develop their academic interests beyond the school curriculum. Academics at Gonville & Caius College have set tasks in 22 different subjects which students can complete. These tasks are a great way for students to explore subject interests, make themselves as competitive as possible as an applicant to Cambridge, and enjoy learning something new!

The explorations have been designed for students in year 12 / S5 / equivalent, but students in younger years are also welcome to take part. Collaborative submissions will also be considered in groups of no more than four.

Entries are open until 31 July 2023. The Outreach Team, along with the Directors of Studies, will pick their favourite entries and invite the authors to a celebration event at the College.

If you have any questions about the scheme or about specific explorations, please feel free to email schools@cai.cam.ac.uk. You can read about and submit to the programme here, and hear from a past participant here.
