 Update on coronavirus (COVID-19)

In light of the latest advice about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all large-scale, in-person outreach activities and events organised by Cambridge Admissions Office will be moved online, postponed or cancelled until the end of December 2020.

We are committed to providing prospective applicants with information about the collegiate University, its courses, and the admissions process. We are looking at opportunities we can offer virtually, as well as the possibility of running some events at a later date. We will update the website with further information once this is available and, for specific widening participation programmes, make direct contact with schools and students affected.

For information about particular events, please check the relevant webpage or contact the event organiser for the most up-to-date information.

We apologise for the inconvenience and any disappointment that this may have caused and we hope to be able to welcome you to an event in Cambridge in the future.

You don’t have to visit Cambridge to apply to the University but our open days and events offer opportunities to get a feel for the place, talk to staff and students, and ask any questions.

Cambridge Open Days

Each year, the University and its Colleges open their doors for two days at the beginning of July. These large-scale events are designed to give prospective applicants an insight into what it’s like to study at the University of Cambridge. Booking for these days is essential. The Open Days offer a packed programme of course, application and student life presentations alongside course information stands. Tours and additional sessions may also be available in departments. Many Colleges will be open all day for Cambridge Open Day visitors. Find out more >>

College Open Days and Tours

College open days are offered throughout the year and give you the opportunity to get a sense of what College life is like, and to pick up a wide range of useful information. You’ll be shown round the grounds and facilities (probably by some of the students) and get to experience what life is like for Cambridge Undergraduates. The Admissions Tutor will usually introduce the College and Directors of Studies will discuss courses and the supervision system and outline any specific admissions requirements their College might have. A number of College Tours are also offered during July, August and September. Find out more >>

Department Open Days

Throughout the year, some faculties and departments offer open days that focus on the specific courses. You’ll get to meet some of the lecturers, and see the libraries and other facilities. Find out more >>
