The Peterhouse JCR Arts Competition is open to students currently in Year 10 or 11 (England and Wales), S3 and S4 (Scotland), and Year 11 and 12 (Northern Ireland) who are educated at a state school in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The competition aims to provide a platform for young artists to creatively share their stories and experiences, utilising the power of art in all forms: from paintings to poems. The theme for this year's competition is 'A Changing World'.
We would like you to submit a short piece of work that interprets the theme in a medium of your choice. For example; a poem, a photograph, a painting, or via another art form. You will also need to include a short description (maximum 250 words) of how your submission relates to the theme.
Submissions will close on Tuesday 21 October at 23:59 pm GMT.
10 shortlisted entrants will be invited to a celebration day at Peterhouse on Thursday 30 October, and will have the opportunity to present their work to the JCR committee members and Peterhouse staff. The JCR will also select an overall winner who will be awarded a prize of £150.
