Undergraduate Study

A picture of Peterhouse, a College in Cambridge, taken in the evening with the lights on

We are pleased to announce the first year of the Peterhouse JCR Arts Competition! This competition has been designed by the JCR, who are a group of undergraduates here at Peterhouse that represent our student body; a bit like a student council would at school.

What does the competition involve?

The competition aims to provide a platform for young artists to creatively share their stories and experiences, utilising the power of art in all forms: from paintings to poems. The theme for this year’s competition is 'Everyday Life'

We would like you to submit a short piece of work that interprets the theme in a medium of your choice. For example; a poem, a photograph, a painting, or via another art form. You will also need to include a short description (maximum 250 words) of how your submission relates to the theme.

Prizes

The Peterhouse JCR will shortlist 10 entries based on their interpretation of the theme, and their originality and creativity. These students will be invited to a celebration day at Peterhouse and will have the opportunity to present their work to the JCR committee members and Peterhouse staff. The JCR will also select an overall winner who will be awarded a prize of £150.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 18th October at 23:59 pm.
