Sidney Sussex Outreach is very excited to collaborate with our College’s Student Union (SSCSU) to deliver our BME Cambridge Taster Day on Sunday, the 19th of February 2023. This will be a brilliant opportunity for Year 12 BME students to get a taste of Cambridge life and learn more about living and studying as a BME student in the University. You can expect academic taster sessions, talks about the Oxbridge applications and opportunities to hear from and discuss with current BME students.
To apply you must:
-Currently be in Year 12 (Year 13 Northern Ireland, S5 Scotland)
-Self-identify as BME
-Currently attend a non-independent (non-fee paying) school
There are 50 places available for this programme. Application outcomes will be communicated on February 1st via email to applicants.
Applications will be assessed using Sidney Sussex’s Outreach and Widening Participation criteria, please get in touch with us if you have any queries regarding those.
Lunch will be covered during the visit and reasonable funding can be provided to cover travel costs so as to ensure that transport is not a hindering factor in the submission of an application.
