Undergraduate Study

We strongly believe finances should not stop you applying to the University. Our firm commitment to this shows in the awards, grants and bursaries we offer to help with your Cambridge education costs.

Our bursary scheme

You could receive up to £3,500 a year of free financial support – with higher amounts for students who meet certain criteria. You do not need to repay the money.

Bursary students may also qualify for further non-repayable awards and scholarships. Care leavers, for example could receive £8,350 a year.

There’s no application process for the Cambridge Bursary, or the related awards and scholarships. You’re considered automatically if you apply to Student Finance for a loan, as your eligibility is based on household income. You do not need to take up the loan.
