FAQ

Who is the International Guidance Counsellor Conference for?
The conference is for schools-based guidance counsellors working in international school settings.

We are happy to receive applications from independent counsellors to join our online conference and we may ask to see evidence of professional accreditation as part of our application process.

We are unable to accept applications from individuals representing any other organisations.

How many places are available?
We have 50 places available to attend in person.

Schools who have not previously attended a conference in person will be given priority in the allocation of places.

If we cannot offer you a place in person, we will offer you a place to attend online.

We have no limit on the number of delegates who can attend online

I want to come in person. Can I bring a second colleague?
We are only able to provide one place per school to attend in person. We are able to offer additional places to attend online.

Can I attend both online and in person?
No. We will either offer you a place to attend online or in person.

Is there a cost to attend?
There is no fee to attend the conference.

If you are attending in person, you are expected to cover the cost of your travel and your accommodation during the conference. Before applying to attend in person, we strongly encourage you to speak with your school to ensure that there are funds available to facilitate your attendance.

We recognise that it may not be financially viable for all schools to send delegates in person, hence our commitment to providing an online version of the conference which is accessible to all. We are unable to offer financial assistance to attend in person.

Will online sessions be recorded?
All online sessions will be recorded, providing delegates with full flexibility in terms of when they choose to engage with the content.
