The Cambridge Investment and Mergers & Acquisitions Society is a student-led society at the University of Cambridge. They are organising this event to invite Year 12 and Year 13 students to showcase their analytical and presentation skills. This competition is an ideal super-curricular opportunity for students in Sixth Form looking to study Economics.
Submission
Candidates should submit either an analysis of a specific Mergers & Acquisitions deal (either completed or hypothetical) or a stock pitch.
Submissions should be a maximum of two A4 pages.
Entries may be from groups of up to five people. These should be sent to cima.soc@outlook.com by 31st October 2025. Do not include names/school in the document, only in the email.
Three groups will be shortlisted by the CIM&A Executive Committee to progress to the final round.
Pitches
The three finalists will deliver a 10 minute presentation (PowerPoint optional) at Robinson College on Thursday 20th November 2025.
The judging panel will include the Presidents of the Cambridge Investment and Mergers & Acquisitions Society and a Managing Director at BNP Paribas, offering finalists the exclusive opportunity to receive professional, industry-standard feedback on their pitches.
Winners
All three finalist groups will be invited to attend a debate at the world-renowned Cambridge Union (general membership usually £350) before their presentations and lunch.
