We hear of super-curricular research all the time – and that it can help students gain a fascination for a subject and bolster university applications. But what exactly is a super-curricular activity and how is it done? Find out more in this session which covers where to find inspiration at home, at school, and, once pandemic restrictions are loosened, at museums, art galleries and elsewhere. We will also cover thinking critically and building up intellectual ideas and arguments.
Join admission staff and students from Brasenose College, Oxford and St Catharine's College, Cambridge to talk about the universities, the College system, break down myths about Oxbridge and give an overview of the application process. We will discuss the kinds of things students can be doing to prepare for a strong university application in Year 13 and break down the student finance system. There will also be the chance to ask students and staff questions.
Come and visit the University of Cambridge and its Colleges on 15 September, as we open our doors to give prospective applicants an insight into what it’s like to live and study here.
