Pembroke College is delighted to be hosting a series of online webinars looking at the Cambridge application process, with the opportunity to ask your questions to Admissions staff and current Pembroke students. These webinars are aimed specifically at students who are currently in year 12 (England and Wales), S5 (Scotland), or year 13 (Northern Ireland).

To be eligible for these webinars, you must be considering applying to the University of Cambridge in October 2025 for entry in October 2026/27.

Peterhouse Applicant Support Scheme

Peterhouse have launched the 2025 version of the Peterhouse Applicant Support Scheme (PASS). This is an online programme, aiming to help support students in making a competitive application to UK universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. The programme is run through a series of online webinars and workshops, email newsletters, and interactive challenges. PASS is structured in two phases:

Peterhouse Kelvin Biological Sciences Essay Competition

Submissions are now open for the Peterhouse Kelvin Biological Sciences Essay Competition, which aims to give students the opportunity to explore scientific concepts and topics beyond the classroom, and to engage with scientific research. 

The Kelvin Essay Competition is open to students in their penultimate year of study who are educated in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The competition has a prize pool of £750, which will be shared between the winners. A prizegiving ceremony will be held in Cambridge in the summer.
