College Open Days

College open days give you the opportunity to get a sense of what College life is like and to pick up a wide range of useful information. They cover all subjects offered by the College unless otherwise indicated.

The Admissions Tutor will usually introduce the College and you’ll be shown around the grounds and facilities, probably by some of the students. Directors of Studies will discuss the University’s courses and the College supervision system, and outline any specific admissions requirements that the College might have.

College Tours

In addition to the individual Colleges' open days, there are a series of College Tours. These are open to students in Year 12 (or equivalent) and up to two accompanying parents/supporters per student. On the day, you'll attend a talk on applying to the University before having a guided tour of one or two Colleges. In most cases these events run 2.00pm to 4.00pm, with registration from 1.30pm.

Advance booking is essential for the College Tours – follow the link given in the table below for the event you're interested in. Please note that the College Tours are only open to individual students – to arrange a visit for a school group, you should contact the relevant area link College.

September College Open Day 2019

On Friday, 20 September 2019, many Colleges will be running a general College Open Day for prospective applicants.

The Colleges listed in the table below will be opening their doors to give prospective applicants the opportunity to drop-in and see what Cambridge Colleges are really like. These informal tours may involve student helpers giving guided tours, or Colleges may provide a welcome desk and maps for visitors to explore the grounds and rooms themselves. In addition to these afternoon drop-in tours, some Colleges will be running a formal programme of events in the morning. Lunch is not provided.

For full details about the programme and information on how to book, please check the individual College websites. Not all Colleges are participating in this event, so please check the list carefully.
