Calling all STEM students - collabrative super-curricular competiton!
The Davidson Inventors Challenge (DIC) is a collaborative school outreach initiative between the University of Cambridge Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and the Association of Science Technology and Innovation (ASTI) in Malaysia, and supported by the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
This school competition is aimed at Year 11 and 12 students in UK schools interested in STEM.
Fitzwilliam College is delighted to announce its 2023 Essay competitions. This year there will be essay competitions in Ancient World and Classics, Archaeology, History, Land Economy, and Medieval World. We will additionally be running an Architecture design competition, and a new essay competition in Economics for state-schooled UK students only.
Cambridge University Tamil Society Y12 Access Conference
Fitzwilliam College and Cambridge University Tamil Society will be running an Access Conference on the 11th of February 2023 for UK-domiciled Tamil state school students who are currently in Year 12 (England and Wales), Year 13 (Northern Ireland) and S5 (Scotland). This programme has been designed to explain the Cambridge application process, offer subject-specific taster sessions, and provide an insight into life at Cambridge from current students.
The programme will take place in-person from 10am to 4pm at Fitzwilliam College and will include:
Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Student Mentorship Scheme
The Fitzwilliam College Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Society at the University of Cambridge is launching its first ever student mentorship scheme in January 2023.
You will be paired up with another prospective student and mentored by a current medicine or veterinary medicine student, who will deliver personalised mentorship on areas of application including the admissions process, personal statement, aptitude tests and interview. During this, you will gain an insight into what it is to study medicine at one of the top universities in the country.
Corpus Christi College and Jesus College are organising an exciting super-curricular opportunity for eight Y12 students in the North-East to explore the Lindisfarne Gospels exhibition, currently on display at the Liang Gallery in Newcastle.
Christ's College: A look at the Grounds and Facilities
An online session for students who would like to see what Christ's College is like. Aimed at prospective undergraduate students considering an application to Cambridge in Sept/October 2023 (for 2024 or deferred 2025 entry).
