Welcome to Cambridge!

While you’re here, you’ll be able to visit our Colleges and facilities to see for yourself what studying at Cambridge is like.

Staff across the university will be on-hand to help if you have any questions while you're here. In the Student Services Centre you will find staff from the Cambridge Admissions Office and the International Team, as well as Student Support Services including the Disability Resource Centre and Careers Service.

Connect to our wi-fi

Choose the network ‘UniOfCam-Guest’ and log in via your chosen social media platform. This network is available throughout the University buildings, and once you have connected you should be automatically signed in when you visit different buildings. Speak to a member of staff if you have any issues.

Planning your day

The University of Cambridge is spread across lots of buildings in the city (there are 29 undergraduate Colleges alone!). There’s plenty to explore, so we recommend you plan to visit six to ten places during the day.

The September Open Days will be focusing on Cambridge Colleges. Most Colleges will be open for you to explore and many will be offering sessions too.

Most subject departments won’t be open as part of the in-person days, but all our undergraduate courses will have virtual content available, primarily through on demand course presentations and/or sample lectures.

Check the programme for full details and locations to plan your day. We’ve also compiled some tips and advice to help you get the most from our Open Days.

You can find a wide range of cafés and restaurants throughout the city where you can stop for a drink and a bite to eat. There are also University-owned cafés which will be open for visitors during the Open Days. Their opening times are listed below:
